Hanna Ertmer

Occupational Therapist
Hanna Ertmer is an occupational therapist with a passion for women’s health, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and whole‒person care. She earned her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Western Illinois University and her Master of Occupational Therapy from Tennessee State University.
Hanna was first drawn to healthcare through her experience living with her grandfather during his journey with Alzheimer’s Disease. That early exposure showed her how meaningful individualized care can be for both patients and families. When she discovered occupational therapy, she was drawn to its creativity, flexibility, and person‒centered approach.
At Nurtiva, Hanna is especially passionate about supporting women through pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery. Her clinical interests include labor preparation techniques, deep core strengthening, and helping women return to movement in a way that feels safe, comfortable, and empowering.
With a background in exercise science and group fitness coaching, Hanna values the role movement and strength can play in both physical and mental well‒being. Her treatment style is calm, compassionate, and encouraging, with a focus on helping each patient feel seen, supported, and confident throughout their care.
When Hanna found Nurtiva, she knew it was the kind of place she wanted to be: a welcoming, holistic, women’s‒health‒focused clinic where the team works together to empower patients and help them reach their goals.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Gabe, being outdoors, going for walks, exercising, and baking.
